Very unique piece of Japanese art  antique wooden carved sword stand  in shape of DRAGON with wide open mouth. The stand's base as Dragon's mouth is resizable and can be extended for desire size depending of exposed sword length (katana, wakizashi or tanto) . Dragon's eyes made from glass.
 
This item of the Samurai Art! is very rare and highly collectible and prized by collectors.
Late Edo period. 

Very good condition overall according to age with some wear and shabby.
