Samurai war helmet KABUTO in Suji Style, mid Edo period
Magnificent Japanese 32 ken (ribs) Iron Lacquered Suji
Kabuto of mid. Edo period with 5 Iron-Lace Manju
Shikoro and with Fukigaeshi decorated
with gilded samurai family Mon, lather and lace cord.
Maedate in shape of a face of oni(Shikami)
made from wood and lacquered ( black and red color).
Hachi-Fusa (lace strap on the helmet's
back) is from Meiji period.
Interior liner, ropes and some details have been restored
about 35-40 years ago.
