Japanese vintage kimekomi doll of a courtier dancer with
bell, 1940-50's
Finely modeled Japanese kimekomi doll represents young courtier dancer dressed
in rich silk brocaded kimono jacket and hakama and with
high striped hat on his hand. He balanced in dance pose
standing on one leg and with bells in his hand.
The doll made around 1940-50's in kimekomi technique. Doll's
face finished in gofun (crashed oyster shell) and hand-painted
artistically. The doll's eyes are made from glass and the
hair are silk floss.
Dimensions: 19 cm / 7,5 inches high
